This week Angelina did something really cute. While I was holding her, she spotted Kevin and tried to shove off from my shoulder towards him!

We have started teaching Angie how to drink from the bottle. Kevin used the milk I expressed last Sunday to try to appease her when I went to a meeting on Monday. She cried for 2 hours, then finally gave in and drank a little. We stayed the course the rest of the week, but it didn’t get easier. Everyday I’d leave the house for a couple of hours while Kevin gave her the bottle, and she always cried for 2 hours before giving in. Part of it is gas from not being accustomed to the bottle, but mostly she just wants the real thing. When I nurse her now she latches on stronger than ever. It feels like she’s sending me a message.

The positive thing that came out of this miserable experience is she has established a stronger bond with Daddy. Kevin can now hold her for much longer periods of time without her looking for me.
We’ll keep trying to give her the bottle. She doesn’t start daycare for another month. Hopefully it won’t take us all that time to get her used to it!
