Quick Update

Julie| April 18, 2010 11:08 pm

I’ve been avoiding Facebook. I get sad when I read status updates of friends I haven’t seen in a long time. It’s not just me who is too busy though; it seems like we are all too busy.

On a happier note, Kevin and I took some time off this month to take the kids to Disneyland on their spring break. We stayed at the Paradise Pier Hotel, where we had a similar custom-built bed to the one we experienced at the Grand Californian. We exhausted ourselves playing everyday and got fantastic sleep every night. I love these beds so much I asked Santa for the Disney Resort Encore Pillowtop Bed Set for Christmas. Now, to be good for the next 8 months… :)

Now he’s as old as I am

For Kevin’s birthday, we took the day off and went to Disneyland. All year long Disneyland is giving away Disney dollars or front-of-the-line passes to birthday folks. Kevin chose the dollars. But before we went shopping, first he made me go on Space Mountain.

I’m the one in the red ski jacket (it was really cold that day) crouched in fear behind the smiling lady. Afterwards I kept telling him I was going to lose my bagel (that’s what I ate for breakfast).

We had lunch at the Blue Bayou. My stomach was still churning.

After lunch we went across the way to Disney’s California Adventure so Kevin can ride California Screamin. I think he got tired of me complaining about how I was going to lose my breakfast AND lunch, so he went on alone.

Then we stopped at a couple of gift shops in the park and bought a ton of cute Disney-themed stuff. I think there were a few other rides in there somewhere, but that’s about it. Oh wait, I almost forgot, just about every single Disney employee wished Kevin a happy birthday, which was really cute. Okay, the end.

Happy birthday sweetie! And many more…!
