Lots of talking this week! She made the m sound, something that sounded like mo - just one step closer to mama! On two separate occasions, when we told her, “Angie, (blah blah blah), okay?”, she responded with a cheerful “oh-ghay!” Talk about double take! Also, judging by the smile she gives us when we say “Hi Angie,” I’m 99% sure she recognizes her own name.
Physically all seems well. She still loves to chew on her fingers. What’s new this week is the amount of drool that comes with it, which makes me wonder if she has started teething. I haven’t given her tummy time in a while, but when I put her belly down this week she had no problems using her arms to push herself up. She was even able to look around a bit from that position.
Her tolerance for the bottle has remained about the same, which is to say fairly low, but at least she no longer cries for 2 hours before giving in. Now it’s more like 20 minutes. Yay for progress!
